Rain or shine, the Spartan fraternities and sororities held their ground. Despite Mother Nature’s temporary rain storm, the Go Greek! BBQ brought in hundreds of students who were interested in entering MSU’s greek system.

Update: Fans began re-entering the stadium before 1 p.m. following a weather delay that forced spectators to exit the stadium and return to their vehicles or designated campus locations. MSU’s contest versus South Florida started shortly after spectators re-entered the stadium.

MSU kicked off its 2013 football season with a 26-13 win against visiting Western Michigan in a sloppy, rain-soaked contest under the lights at Spartan Stadium Friday night.

Mother nature whizzed though Lansing’s 21st annual classic auto show, pouring down heavy rain and wind Saturday afternoon, but car owners stood their ground. A little rain wasn’t going to ruin an event full of classic cars, trophies and as Lansing local Mario Ledesma would say, “a great time.”
