John James speaks at Charlie Kirk Memorial
John James and state Rep. Jay DeBoyer held a press conference on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, at the Spartan Statue on Michigan State University's campus in East Lansing, Mich. The conference was held to commemorate the first anniversary of Charlie Kirk’s death. Members of the MSU Republican Club and Turning Point USA chapter attended the event, where James and DeBoyer spoke to students and community members.
