Kurtis Drummond turns heads with lateral pass touchdown, one-handed interception
Despite a weak offensive showing by the MSU football team in the first half against Western Michigan, Kurtis Drummond is giving MSU fans something to talk about.
After having an interception overturned early in the first quarter, the junior safety was in the right place at the right time to take a lateral pass by senior safety Jairus Jones, who had just secured the interception, to the house for a 21-yard score.
But Drummond wasn’t done yet.
Later in the first quarter, Drummond made a spectacular one-handed interception that dazzled fans and set the Spartans up with the ball on offense.
The Spartans lead Western Michigan, 7-0, with 11:19 remaining in the second quarter.
