Authrorities are investigating three additional reports against former resident physician Arpit Saxena, according to a Michigan State University Department of Police and Public Safety press release on Friday.
Saxena, 39, was taken into custody on Sept. 10 at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Georgia, after an investigation revealed he sexually assaulted two patients at the MSU Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Clinic.
At this time, MSU DPPS has not provided any further details on the additional incidents.
“DPPS remains committed to ensuring individuals who come forward are treated with dignity, respect, compassion and pursuing every available avenue to ensure community safety and accountability,” the news release said.
Saxena was arraigned on Sept. 25 and is being held on a $2 million bond. He has also been ordered to surrender both his driver’s license and passport and is barred from contact with the victims.
Saxena will continue to be lodged at the Ingham County Jail, pending a bond hearing on Sept. 28.
