Michigan State University's Berkey Hall will be closed today due to a "reported potential threat."
According to a campus wide email sent at 6:02 a.m. on September 3, the academic building will be shut and classes will be moved online "out of an abundance of caution" while law enforcement assesses the threat.
Berkey Hall was in part the location of the MSU 2023 mass campus shooting, where three students lost their lives.
It is unclear what the threat is. MSU Spokesperson Emily Guerrant was not immediately available for comment.
At the time of publication, police are still at the building investigating. Berkey Hall is on the northern boundary of campus and one of the buildings closest to Grand River.
