Larceny, damage to property and drug offenses were all reported multiple times last week.
The Michigan State University Department of Police and Public Safety disclosed the incidents under the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act, which requires universities to publicly list reported criminal offenses and is subject to change as events are reported.
Incidents are distinguished by the date they were reported in crime blotter reports. This week's reported incidents may include incidents from days prior.
Saturday 7/4
A traffic stop involving someone driving with a suspended license occurred near Grand River Avenue and Farm Lane around 1:40 p.m. According to the Clery log, this incident resulted in a citation being given to the subject.
Sunday 7/5
Damage to property that occurred at lot 15 on July 1, around 8 p.m., was reported. MSU DPPS reported that this incident involved a damaged vehicle window.
Monday 7/6
Larceny that occurred at Bailey Hall on June 26 around 3 p.m. was reported. MSU DPPS reported that this incident involved a stolen bike.
Tuesday 7/7
A traffic stop involving someone in possession of a controlled substance, driving with a revoked license, and without proof of insurance or registration occurred near Kalamazoo Street and Howard Street around 10:30 p.m. MSU DPPS reported that the subject was arrested as a result of the stop.
Damage to property that occurred at lot 91 on July 1, around 12 p.m., was reported. MSU DPPS reported that this incident involved broken vehicle windows. They also confirmed that they do not know of any relation between this incident and a similar subsequent incident involving damage to a vehicle window on July 1 at lot 15 around 8 p.m. that was reported on July 5.
Wednesday 7/8
A traffic stop involving someone operating a vehicle while pulling a trailer without proper safety chains occurred near Harrison Road and Trowbridge Road around 10:15 a.m. According to the Clery log, this incident resulted in a citation being given to the subject.
Thursday 7/9
An incident involving possession of methamphetamine and an MSU ordinance violation occurred near South Harrison Road outside of Spartan Village around 2:20 a.m. MSU DPPS reported that this involved multiple subjects operating an electric scooter and a bike on the sidewalk.
A traffic stop involving no proof of registration or insurance occurred near Grand River Avenue and Abbot Road around 3 p.m. According to the Clery log, this incident resulted in the subject being arrested.
A traffic stop involving no proof of insurance occurred near East Jolly Road and Pine Tree Road around 8:40 p.m.
An incident involving stalking was reported that occurred at Demmer Shooting Sports Education Center around 4:20 p.m. on July 8. MSU DPPS reported that this incident was submitted through the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office.
Larceny from Wells Hall was reported on June 29 around midnight. MSU DPPS reported that this incident involved missing AirPods, which were recovered and returned to the subject.

Friday 7/10
A traffic stop involving a suspended, restricted or revoked license occurred near Hagadorn Road and Service Road around 4 p.m. According to the Clery log, this incident resulted in a citation being given to the subject.
Larceny at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center occurred around 5 p.m.
A traffic stop involving an “other ops violation” occurred near Trowbridge Road and Red Cedar Road around 9 p.m. According to the Clery log, this incident resulted in a citation being given to the subject.
