Crime blotter: Larceny and traffic stops

Larceny and traffic stops were both reported multiple times last week.

The Michigan State University Department of Police and Public Safety disclosed the incidents under the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act, which requires universities to publicly list reported criminal offenses and is subject to change as events are reported.

Incidents are distinguished by the date they were reported in crime blotter reports. This week's reported incidents may include incidents from days prior.

Saturday 7/18

A traffic stop involving an invalid license occurred around 10:45 a.m. near Hagadorn Road and Hannah Boulevard.

Another traffic stop involving a revoked license occurred around 11 p.m. near Shaw Lane and Red Cedar Road. This incident resulted in a citation, according to the Clery log.

Sunday 7/19

A traffic stop involving a revoked license and no insurance occurred around 2 p.m. near Hagadorn Road and Mount Hope Road. This incident resulted in a citation, according to MSU DPPS.

Another traffic stop involving an invalid license and registration occurred around 3 p.m. near Michigan Avenue and Friendship Circle. This incident resulted in an arrest, according to the Clery log.

Larceny was reported that occurred around 9 a.m. on July 13 at Hubbard Hall.  MSU DPPS reported that this incident involved a stolen bike.

Monday 7/20

A traffic stop involving someone operating under the influence of liquor occurred around midnight near Hagadorn Road and Mount Hope Road. This incident resulted in an arrest, according to the Clery log.

Tuesday 7/21

A traffic stop involving an invalid license occurred around 5 p.m. near Hagadorn Road and Mount Hope Road. This incident resulted in a citation, according to the Clery log.

Wednesday 7/22

An MSU ordinance violation involving someone operating a drone occurred around 10 a.m. near lot 124 near Spartan Stadium.

A vehicular collision involving someone failing to yield occurred around 3:20 p.m. near Trowbridge Road and Chestnut Road.

A traffic stop involving reckless driving occurred around 7:20 p.m. near Wilson Road and Chesnut Road. MSU DPPS reported that this incident involved someone speeding around a construction zone.

A traffic stop involving a suspended license occurred around midnight near Grand River Avenue and M.A.C. Avenue.

Thursday 7/23

Larceny from the Multicultural Center occurred around 2 p.m. MSU DPPS reported that this involved a missing jacket.

Larceny from the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) was reported at around 6:15 p.m. on July 21. MSU DPPS reported that it involved missing cash.

Friday 7/24

No incidents were reported on this day.
