There were multiple cases of stalking, extortion and assault on campus last week. Saturday was the most eventful day of the week, with multiple altercations at Spartan Stadium amid the home football game.
The incidents were disclosed by Michigan State University under the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act, which requires universities to publicly list reported criminal offenses.
Listed below are notable entries. The State News asked MSU's Department of Police and Public Safety for more information about them, but a spokesperson did not respond at time of publication.
The State News has filed Freedom of Information Act requests for police reports associated with notable incidents. Under state law, MSU has three weeks to respond.
Tuesday 9/2
There was a report of intimidation and stalking at Hubbard Hall that occurred at 8 a.m. and was reported the next day.
Wednesday 9/3
There were three separate hit and run motor vehicle incidents reported this day. Two occurred on Grand River, while one occurred on Beal Street.
Thursday 9/4
An arrest was made for operating under the influence of liquor or drugs that occurred on the intersection of Spartan and Grand River Avenue at around 11 p.m.
Friday 9/5
A mandatory report of stalking at Snyder Hall occurred and was reported at 12 a.m.
An arrest was made for operating under the influence of liquor or drugs at the intersection of Harrison Road and Michigan Avenue at approximately 2 a.m.
Saturday 9/6
A mandatory report of assault and battery occurred around 12:45 a.m. at Mcdonel Hall. A non-aggravated assault was also reported at Mcdonel at 2 a.m. Later in the day at around 5 p.m., Stalking and entering without permission was reported at Mcdonel Hall. (An MSUPD Spokesperson did not respond when asked if these incidents were related.)
A non-aggravated assault was reported at Holden Hall at around 3:30 p.m. The case is still active, and an arrest has not been made.
An unmanned aircraft was reported at 5:50 p.m. on campus. MSUPD has not responded when asked about the details.
An aggravated/felonious assault occurred at the MSU Union at around 8:30 p.m.
Sunday 9/7
Larceny was reported at Mcdonel hall at around 2 p.m.

Extortion was said to have occurred at Butterfield Hall at 11 p.m. and was reported on Monday.
Monday 9/8
A mandatory report of stalking and entering without permission at Rather Hall was made at 12 a.m.
Around noon, four offenses were reported near West Shaw Lane and Chestnut Road, including two violations of the Controlled Substance Act and two traffic-related offenses.
Tuesday 9/9
Extortion was reported at Wilson Hall at 4:50 p.m.
