The East Lansing Police Department responded to a death by suicide in downtown East Lansing on Tuesday.
The department "has no other evidence that anyone else is involved," Lieutenant Adrian Ojerio said. "The person was a female in their late 40s."
Body found behind Division Street Garage

Around 2:45 pm, police vehicles and officers were gathered behind the Division Street Parking Garage, on Albert Street between Charles Street and Division Street, surrounding what appeared to be the body. Bystanders watched from across the street.
Another body was found just one block away on Friday, outside of Michigan State University's Parking Ramp 6. Campus police said at the time that no foul play was suspected in that death and that there was no danger to the community.
