East Lansing and the Michigan State University campus can expect more severe weather Wednesday afternoon and evening, days after a tornado warning went into effect in the area.
Tomorrow afternoon, individuals can expect heavy rain with damaging winds approaching 15-25 mph, large hail and the possibility of a tornado bringing potential damage, with similar conditions later in the evening, according to The Weather Channel.
Tomorrow’s possible storms come after Sunday’s tornado and severe thunderstorm warning that went into effect for MSU and East Lansing, with two confirmed tornadoes touching down in Ingham County, according to the National Weather Service.
In the event of a tornado, it is highly encouraged for individuals to take shelter in a nearby tornado shelter or the lowest part of a sturdy interior. Individuals are also advised to stay away from windows. Anyone who finds themselves in a vehicle should move to the closest shelter location.
