Vice President Kamala Harris will hold a rally at Michigan State University on Sunday, Nov. 3, her campaign announced on Thursday.
A specific location for the rally has yet to be announced, although a press release from the Harris campaign indicates the rally will start around 6:30 p.m.
Only two days before the Nov. 5 general election, Harris will travel throughout metro Detroit in the morning and afternoon before concluding the day with the rally at MSU, according to a senior campaign official who declined to be identified to discuss unannounced campaign activity.
Sunday’s events will mark Harris’ 11th trip to Michigan and 2nd visit to Lansing. Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, made an appearance at The Graduate Hotel across the street from MSU’s campus earlier this semester.
On Monday of this week, the Harris campaign held a rally at the University of Michigan, indicating the campaign’s keen interest in getting college students out to vote. East Lansing is also situated within Michigan’s 7th Congressional District, where Democrat Curtis Hertel and Republican Tom Barrett are competing for a seat in the U.S. House.
Harris currently holds a one percentage point advantage against former president Donald Trump, according to national polling averages by the New York Times. Michigan and its 16 electoral votes will be critical in deciding the outcome of the presidential election.
