MSU DPPS releases photo of suspect in sexual assault near the Union

The MSU Department of Public Safety and Police has released a photo of the suspect in a sexual assault that was reported near the MSU Union Thursday night. 

The incident, which was reported around 9 p.m., occurred on the east side of Abbot Road near the MSU Union. Currently, it is unknown what direction the suspect traveled from the scene. MSU DPPS are investigating the incident as a criminal sexual conduct 4th degree.

The suspect's description is a college-age Black male, 6’0 to 6’2 inches tall, skinny build and light complexion, short tight curly hair and prescription glasses. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark blue shirt, khaki shorts, backpack and black and white Nike tennis shoes.

MSU DPPS shared photos of the suspect Friday morning on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Those with information can also submit an anonymous tip by texting MSUPD to CRIMES (274637) or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers of Mid-Michigan at 517-483-STOP (7867).
