MSU Recreational Sports and Fitness Services, in collaboration with University Health and Wellbeing and Student Life & Engagement and the Beal Botanical Garden, is holding free yoga sessions in the garden throughout the summer.

“Yoga in the Garden is intended to provide the campus with health and well-being opportunities to help Spartans feel their best,” University Health and Wellbeing Communications Director Courtney Placinta said.

Unlike prior years, there is no need to register in advance for each session.

Those participating in each session are asked to bring water and a yoga mat or towel and to dress appropriately for the weather. If inclement weather occurs, cancelled classes will be communicated on social media.

The yoga sessions will be held under the ginkgo tree in the garden throughout the season.

Each session is made up of three different sessions listed below:

  • Summer I: May 28; June 11, 18, 25
  • Summer II: July 9, 16, 23; Aug 6, 13
  • Fall: September 3, 10, 17, 24

Those with questions are encouraged to stay connected with the Beal Botanical Garden on social media.
