After losing top wide receiver Keon Coleman to Florida State in the transfer portal last week, Michigan State football bolstered their receiving corps Friday afternoon with the addition of Nebraska transfer Alante Brown. Brown announced his commitment via social media.
Transfer receiver Alante Brown commits to Michigan State football
Brown played in the majority of games in his three years with the Cornhuskers, setting career highs last season with 16 passes caught for 191 yards. He also made a name for himself as a kick-returner, bringing back 10 kicks for 196 yards during the 2020 COVID season.
The Chicago native was formerly a four star recruit coming out of high school. At one point, Brown pledged to MSU, but decommitted a couple months later and found himself in Omaha for the first couple of years of his college career.
Brown will be an immediate impact receiver this upcoming fall, next to redshirt senior Tre Mosley and senior Montorie Foster Jr. He could also be in the mix to return kicks for the 2023-2024 season.
