Michigan State’s redshirt senior wide receiver Jayden Reed officially declared for the 2023 NFL Draft via Instagram Sunday morning.

The transfer from Western Michigan exits MSU with a sparkling resume. He finished with 2,069 receiving yards and 18 receiving touchdowns. Reed had an opportunity to leave MSU last season for the NFL Draft after racking up 1,026 of those yards and 10 touchdowns in the 2021 season alone, but elected to stay in East Lansing for one last season. He battled an injury early in the season and his production dipped in 2022, but it's quite likely a team will take a chance on Reed for his strong hands and big play potential.

The announcement comes just a day after the Spartans wrapped up their final game of the season in a 35-16 loss to Penn State.

More decisions regarding the roster (transfers, draft declarations, etc.) are expected to follow.
