—The Big Ten Conference landed one of the richest deals in college sports Thursday morning according to the Washington Post.
This TV deal is worth more than $1 billion annually including FOX, CBS and NBC, but not ESPN. The conference will be spread across the three networks on college football Saturdays: Fox at noon, CBS at 3:30 p.m. and NBC at primetime.
FOX will televise football and men's basketball. CBS will broadcast up to 15 regular-season football games. NBC will introduce a new "Big Ten Saturday Night" with 14 to 16 games broadcast each season. Peacock will also stream eight regular-season football games and up to 47 regular-season men's basketball games and 30 regular-season women's basketball games.
All three networks will combine efforts to broadcast the Big Ten Football Championships games, alternating years.
The contract will last seven years from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2030, giving it a price tag between $7 billion to $8 billion according to Action Network.
This news follows the addition of USC and UCLA to the Big Ten.
