Since its opening in 2017, Green Dot Stables has been serving sliders and other American fare food products to the Greater Lansing Community.
As of today, the restaurant will be temporarily closing its doors with hopes of reopening in the fall under better conditions.
Due to COVID-19, the establishment has been operating under a shortage of staff members.
According to a news release “Our amazing manager who held it all together in Lansing just resigned and that was the last straw. We sadly must call it quits for the season and explore other options," Owner Jacques Driscoll said.
The Lansing location is one of two, the other is in Detroit, Michigan. This location will remain open.
Both locations are owned by In-Laws Hospitality, a company Jacques and Christine Driscoll have together. Both are alumni of Michigan State University.
Green Dot's Lansing location will be closing on Sun, Aug. 10.
“If a new team wants to buy or lease it and run it as Green Dot, I’m ready to listen,” Driscoll said. “Or they may want to come in and do something entirely different we put a new roof, kitchen, and HVAC system into the building in 2019. It’s a solid location with lots of improvements.”
