Another Swedish sensation, Stephanie Visscher of Stephen F. Austin State University, will be joining the Michigan State women's basketball ranks for the 2022-23 season. She joins freshman Swede Matilda Ekh.

The Spartan program sent out the announcement via Twitter about the 6-foot-1 graduate guard transfer from Lulea, Sweden, on Tuesday afternoon.

Visscher spent the last four years at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, and she attended BG Lulea before her collegiate career began. It's safe to say she's coming into East Lansing with vast international and NCAA Division I experience.

With BG Lulea, she earned team MVP all four seasons, a spot on the Eastern European Youth Basketball League's (EEYBL) All-Star Team and a chance to play for the Swedish U18 team, where she earned Player of the Game honors in a matchup against Finland.

She puts on the green and white jersey after starting in all 33 games and averaging a team-high of 14.2 points per game during her senior season for the Lumberjacks. She also earned first-team All-WAC honors as a senior, and her outstanding defensive presence on the court has earned her all-defensive team honors three separate times.

She joins freshmen guards Theryn Hallock and Abbey Kimball, as well as Clemson guard transfer Gabby Elliott.
