Junior linebacker Quavaris Crouch meets the receiver at the line of scrimmage during the Spartans' 48-31 homecoming win against Western Kentucky on Oct. 2, 2021.

Michigan State's spring football practices have concluded, paving the way for more roster changes via the transfer portal. The Spartans already added nine players from the portal in the winter and likely will add to that number.

Here's a look at who's joined and who's left the program post-spring ball:

Who's out:

LB Quavaris Crouch

Michigan State > ?

Crouch joined MSU during the summer of 2021 as a transfer from the University of Tennessee and started the first nine games of the season for the Spartans at linebacker alongside redshirt sophomore Cal Haladay. Crouch only played one of the final four games of the season after dealing with a shoulder injury.

Crouch will be a hot commodity after finishing the 2021 season with 75 tackles in 10 appearances, earning him an All-Big Ten Honorable Mention honor. Crouch will be looking to join his third power five school in three years.

CB Antoine Booth

Michigan State > ?

A Baltimore, Maryland native, redshirt freshman cornerback Antoine Booth did not see any game action in 2021. He was a three-star recruit out of high school, holding offers from Maryland, Buffalo, Massachusetts, Temple, and Virginia.

RB Donovan Eaglin

Michigan State > ?

Michigan State suddenly has a crowded running back room with the transfer additions of redshirt sophomore Jalen Berger and junior Jarek Broussard. While MSU awaits the arrival of Broussard from Colorado, the spring was still telling of the running back pecking order and redshirt sophomore Donovan Eaglin was the odd man out. Eaglin arrived in East Lansing as a three-star prospect out of Texas, spent most of his time on special teams and received his only six career carries in a blowout win versus Youngstown State.

Who's in:

LB Ben VanSumeren

Michigan State > Michigan State

It's been an odd few months for redshirt linebacker Ben VanSumeren. He entered the portal in February, presumabley ending his one-year stint at MSU. However, VanSumeren continued to practice with the team, including a heavy load of reps in the Spartans' Spring Game. He made 12 total tackles in 2021 and now returns to MSU with his younger brother, freshman defensive tackle Alex VanSumeren.
