Leading into the end of the spring semester, April 18-22 is Earth Week. Associated Students of Michigan State University, or ASMSU, will be holding several events to celebrate.

On Monday, April 18 ASMSU kicked off Earth Week by passing out t-shirts and tote bags from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at The Rock.

ASMSU Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will be partnering with Multi Racial Unity Living Experience to discuss environmental justice and legislation. It will take place in the MOSAIC Conference Room from 4:30 to 6 p.m on Tuesday, April 19.

On Wednesday, April 20 there will be a Sustainability & Environmental RSO Fair at the Union Ballroom from 5 to 9 p.m. Sustainable and environmental RSO’s, or Registered Student Organizations, will be discussing their work on campus and students will have a chance to enter giveaways.

In Room 50 at The Union, the Spartan Food Security Council will teach the importance of gardening and food. The event will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 21.

For the last day of Earth Week or Earth Day, ASMSU encourages students to share their experiences with Earth Day and what it means to them. ASMSU also encourages students to show their favorite photos that capture Earth and why the pictures are significant to them.

Students that share their experiences or photos will be entered for a giveaway.
