CATA routes scheduled to run more frequently, complimentary parking ends March 14

As students make their way back to East Lansing after spring break, CATA announced there will be service changes to routes on and off campus beginning March 14. The affected routes are listed as follows:

  • 1 - Downtown Lansing – Meridian Mall
  • 20 - South Harrison – Jolly – Dunckel
  • 26 - Abbot – Chandler
  • 30 - South and East Neighborhoods
  • 31 - Brody and East Neighborhoods
  • 32 - Commuter Lot – Auditorium – Clinical Center
  • 33 - Union – South Neighborhood

MSU Spartan Service Routes 30, 31, 32 and 33 will run on a 15-minute weekday frequency during peak operations, beginning March 14 through May 8.

Specific changes to on-campus route times are as follows:

Routes 30 – South and East Neighborhoods: Service will operate at a 15-minute frequency between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., then every 30 minutes until 2 a.m.

Routes 31 – Brody and East Neighborhoods: Service will operate at a 15-minute frequency between 7 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., then every 30 minutes until 2 a.m.

Route 32 – Commuter Lot/Snyder Hall/Clinical Center: Service will operate every 15 minutes from 7 a.m. until noon, and then every 30 minutes until the end of service.

Route 33 – North and South Neighborhoods: Service will operate every 15 minutes from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., then every 30 minutes until 10 p.m.

Changes will also be made to the following off-campus routes:

Route 1 – Downtown Lansing/Meridian Mall: Service will continue to operate with frequency between 12 and 15 minutes. Departures from bus stops along downtown Lansing’s Capitol Loop will continue to occur up to eight minutes later than usual Monday through Friday evening.

Route 20 – South Harrison/Jolly/Dunckel: Route 20 will no longer travel into Spartan Village.

Route 26 – Abbot/Chandler: Weekday buses will operate every 23 minutes and conclude at 11:22 p.m. There will be no late-night service on Thursday, Friday or Saturday.

Complimentary pay-by-plate and metered parking ends on March 14 as well.
