Michigan State men's soccer star forward Farai Mutatu has been selected 21st overall draft pick to the LA Galaxy during the MLS draft today.

Mutatu is from Zimbabwe, but currently resides in Haslett, Michigan. Prior to Michigan State, he played for Crew SD Academy and Lansing United. Mutatu has played as a forward for the Spartans since 2018.

Mutatu was a force in East Lansing the moment he arrived. In 2018, he was awarded a spot on the Big Ten All-Freshman Team. Mutatu was ranked fifth in the Big Ten conference in the 2019 season for a total of 48 shots on goal.

This season, Mutatu led the team with seven goals and was tied for second in assists with three.

That goal scoring is exactly what the prestigious LA Galaxy will be hoping to get in Mutatu as he makes his way to the Golden State.
