Ingham County Medical Examiner confirms death of MSU student Phat Nguyen at house this weekend

MSU student Phat Nguyen has been identified as the person that died Nov. 20 the Ingham County Medical Examiner said.

On Nov. 20, the East Lansing Police Department responded to a medical assist on the 400 block of Stoddard Avenue. 

In addition to Nguyen, three other individuals were found passed out.

An autopsy report has been ordered by the Ingham County Medical Examiner. ELPD has also begun its investigation.

Police said alcohol consumption could have played a role in this case.

The other three individuals were transported to Sparrow Hospital for further medical attention.

The final autopsy report, containing toxicology results, will take six-to-eight weeks to complete.
