On Oct. 30, a shooting occurred just before 8 p.m. at the 3900 block of Halter Lane. The bodies of a man and a woman were found in a home.

On Nov. 4, the East Lansing Police Department, or ELPD, identified the two bodies to be Jamie Antcliff, 44, of Owosso, Michigan, and William Antcliff, 45, of East Lansing.

ELPD Deputy Chief Steve Gonzalez called it a "dual-death investigation."

“When the officers arrived, they found two individuals deceased from apparent gunshot wounds," Gonzalez said on Nov. 2. "I stress the word apparent because we do not have final autopsy results back yet."

Gonzalez said the department is investigating the incident as a homicide, but also a murder-suicide.

"We do not have the exact circumstances of how the two were shot," he said. "We do not have anybody in custody and we are not currently looking for any suspects."

The cause and manner of death are pending official autopsy reports.
