Fall has arrived at the Potter Park Zoo. To celebrate, the zoo is holding the third and final weekend of the Fall Zoo-tacular this weekend on Oct. 23 and 24.
Students can attend the event from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. this weekend and enjoy the zoo’s full roster of animals, along with some fall themed activities. Admission is $7 for Ingham County residents and $13 for non-residents.
Carolyn Fabro, special projects coordinator with the zoo, said the event has many activities to offer.
“We've got a bounce house and inflatable obstacle course and a string maze, we have cider and donuts, there are candy stations throughout the zoo and community partners who have either candy or other kinds of goody giveaway kinds of things,” she said.
Fabro said the Zoo-tacular is a scaled-back version of their previously held Boo at the Zoo event. This weekend is the final installment of the event which has gone on for the two previous weekends.
Fabro says that she’s been happy with the showing so far.
“We’ve had two weekends with really good weather and people like to come out,” Fabro said. “All of our animals are still there, so that’s also a big draw. It’s really nice to be able to know that we’re a safe place and a place that people feel that they can come and be safe."
