Four-star, class of 2022 prospect Jaxon Kohler has announced his commitment to Michigan State University to play basketball for Michigan State Head Coach Tom Izzo.

Ranked No. 62 nationally, No. 9 in his position and No. 6 in Utah, Kohler also had offers from Iowa, Nebraska, University of Southern California and Oklahoma. His official visit with MSU was Sept. 11.

Kohler, a native of Mount Pleasant, Utah and a student at Southern California Academy, is a 6-foot-9, 250-pound power forward with one of the highest floors in the class nationally, according to 247Sports analyst Brandon Jenkins.

Kohler is projected to be a stretch big who has inside and outside potential on the scoring end but will need to make some strides defensively to earn minutes in Izzo's rotation.

Kohler will fit in well with junior forwards Julius Marble II and Malik Hall, who both will dominate playing time while Kohler develops on the defensive end. Together, the three of them have the potential to carry the legacies that former players like Gabe Brown, Xavier Tillman and Aaron Henry have or will leave behind.

Kohler is currently the second member of the 2022 class as he will join four-star guard Tre Holloman to set the future for Michigan State.
