The Capital Area Transportation Authority, or CATA, will be providing system-wide free rides to voters in the primary election on Tuesday, Aug. 3. Since no IDs are required, riders should notify the driver that they will be voting so they can board for free, according to the release.

CATA recommends booking Redi-Ride trips no later than Aug. 2 to the polling centers. Additionally, Spec-Tran and Rural Service rides must be scheduled by 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2.

According to the release, it is also required that riders must wear an appropriate face mask to cover their nose and mouth while onboard all CATA buses.

For more information, contact a CATA Customer Experience Representative at info@cata.org or 517-394-1000.
