This week Michigan State's Office of Undergraduate Research is hosting the 23rd annual University Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum event. This event is held from April 15 through April 19.

The goal of this program is to give undergraduate students the opportunity to showcase their research experiences to their peers and faculty while still maintaining COVID-19 health regulations. That being said, the event will be livestreamed on an easy-to-navigate site.

According to the event webpage, the forum features nearly 650 student presenters from 15 different university colleges. Over 450 faculty, staff, post-doctoral fellows and graduate students worked with and mentored the students.

"We encourage our student participants, research mentors, and other visitors to view and learn about the impressive work of our next generation of scholars, performers, and researchers," the website said.

The Office of Undergraduate Research is looking to display students' work via their social media sites as well. This includes posting on Facebook, Instagram and more. Contact ugrsrch@msu.edu if interested in learning more.

The event will take place on a webpage called Symposium. The program includes information about the different presentations offered, including who will be presenting and who acted as their mentors.

An awards ceremony will be put on following the event to honor students' research achievements. More information about the awards can be found on the Undergraduate Research webpage.

Although not quite the same as previous years, this online event is a great way to honor and showcase undergraduate students here at MSU. For more information about the event, check out the event webpage or contact the undergraduate research department.
