This week, Michigan State's Prevention, Outreach and Education (POE) Department is hosting this spring's "It's On Us Spring Week of Action," encouraging conversations about sexual assault on campus.
There will be daily Instagram challenges, online coloring pages and sign-ups for self-care packages available for the first 300 people to sign up or until April 16.
The week will be filled with online events from April 12 to 17. Registration links for live events can be found on their events document.
Tuesday, April 13
The Center for Survivors will be hosting "The Next Chapter" book club from 3 to 4:30 p.m. They have been reading "Burnout" by Emily Nagoski and Amelia Nagoski since Feb. 9.
Stand-up comic, actor and writer Cameron Esposito will be speaking in a webinar in partnership with the Lesbian Bisexual Gay and Transgender Resource Center from 7 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday, April 14
From 12 to 1 p.m. the Center for Survivors is holding its regular community connect sessions.
Thursday, April 15
The Center for Survivors will have a virtual Healing Through Yoga from 1 to 2 p.m.
The It’s On Us Sexual Assault Response Team will be having a panel discussion and Q&A in partnership with MSU Police Department from 6 to 7 p.m.
Saturday, April 17
The 1st Annual Activating Campus Undergraduate Summit will be held from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The summit, in partnership with POE, will allow students to come together and learn about different ways to get involved on campus and in their communities to take action against gender-based violence.
There will be a trauma-informed yoga session with a gender equity focus in partnership with Women*s Student Services from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
