East Lansing Police Department, or ELPD, is working to locate 81-year-old East Lansing resident Octavious Nathaniel Murray, according to a statement from city officials.
Murray, who has dementia, was last seen at 2001 Coolidge Road on Monday, according to the statement. He is approximately 5-feet-11-inches and 150 pounds.
Murray was wearing "brown shorts, a brown and cream plaid shirt with three buttons, dark brown sandals and black socks," the release said.
ELPD has received some tips regarding Murray's whereabouts and believe he is travelling on foot, according to Interim Chief Steve Gonzalez.
In terms of response, ELPD officers are patrolling the area and have notified CATA bus services of Murray's description.
"We're hoping that someone sees him just walking down the street and will call us," Gonzalez said.
Community members who see Murray or have any information regarding his whereabouts are encouraged to call 911.
Editor's Note: The person was found Monday evening.
