Shots fired in East Lansing's Chesterfield Hills neighborhood

East Lansing Police confirmed reports of shots fired Saturday evening in the Chesterfield Hills neighborhood, according to an ELPD release.

The incident involved two cars near the Hillcrest Village Apartments.

"I can confirm we received a shots fired call last night," ELPD Captain Chad Connelly told The State News in an email. "The call involved two vehicles and we did take one person into custody. No injuries were reported and this is currently still under investigation."

Interim Police Chief Steve Gonzalez could not be reached for comment at the time of publication.
