SkyVue is one of the higher-end apartments in the East Lansing area. The apartments are already sold out for the fall 2020 lease, besides the one bedroom, one bathroom rooms.

SkyVue is located in Lansing along East Michigan Avenue, which is close to campus.

The apartments range from $734 per person for a four bedroom, four bathroom apartment to $1,189 for a single room apartment, though immediate move-in pricing may vary. Apartment pricing varies by size and layout. The prices include the cost of all utilities except for electricity.

Apartments are fully furnished and include a washer and dryer. The rooms also include WiFi, as well as an HD cable to set up a TV.

SkyVue has a number of benefits for the people who live there. Residents at SkyVue have access to the hot tub that holds up to 50 people. Residents can also enjoy other amenities such as a fitness area, bike storage and fire pits. SkyVue also has a coffee station for their residents.

"One of the main reasons why I wanted to live here is because of how much you get for your money. ... You have all these amenities like the hot tub, the gym, all that stuff is included and ... a lot of places to be in the building," physiology junior Ashley White said.

SkyVue also offers a number of study lounges. There is a computer room as well as a basic study lounge with couches and chairs.

Despite all of the amenities, some still argue that SkyVue is not worth the money.

"The bedrooms themselves are an average size, but the living space is extremely small," journalism junior Bryanna Idzior said. "It is all kind of crammed for the price."

Location is another factor in the apartment hunt. "I never considered SkyVue when I was looking for apartments, so we looked a little closer to campus," journalism senior Zaria Phillips said.

On the other hand, some believe that SkyVue is in a good location.

White said SkyVue is a 10-minute walk from campus and not as far as people think. There is also a CATA bus stop conveniently placed outside the building.

Another plus about SkyVue is that they are pet friendly. There is a courtyard at SkyVue that residents can use to give their pets fresh air.

"It is a good place to have dogs," psychology sophomore Alex Dils said.

There is also emergency maintenance available 24 hours to fix anything wrong at SkyVue.
