—After Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed the "Stay Home, Stay Safe" executive order Monday, Michigan State dining halls have had to make changes to comply with the order.
Restaurants and bars in Michigan have been ordered to close, with the exception of takeout service, so MSU dining hall locations are now only offering takeout meals.
The cafeterias allow three takeout containers per visit with the understanding that people should only take what they will eat in order to avoid food waste, according to an email from Eat at State.
All dining halls will also be closed from 2 to 5 p.m. for additional cleaning and sanitation. The dining halls are also sanitized daily at 4 a.m.

The Edge at Akers, Brody Square, South Point at Case and The Vista at Shaw will all be open for takeout Monday through Sunday from 8 to 11 a.m. for breakfast, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch and 5 to 8 p.m. for dinner.
Thrive at Owen is also open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch and 5 to 8 p.m. for dinner.
All other dining halls and Sparty's locations are closed to ensure safety for guests on campus.
