Four-star point guard AJ Hoggard, announced his commitment to Michigan State Men’s basketball 2020 recruiting class early Sunday afternoon.

The 6-foot-3 and 185-pound commit comes from Huntington Prep in Pennsylvania. Hoggard is ranked as the No. 2 player in his home state and the No. 13 point guard nationally in the 2020 class, according to 247Sports.

Hoggard chooses the green and white over Penn State, Marquette, Providence and Ole Miss. He follows Mady Sissoko and Jalen Terry as the third recruit of the 2020 class.

“The vibe that they have been giving me since day one and how (Tom) Izzo handles his guards, along with the production that they have had from the guard position," Hoggard, the No. 71 player in the 2020 class, told Rivals.com. “To come in as a freshman and get to play, it is always big, and to come into a spot for Cassius (Winston), it is going to be huge for me.”
