Sissoko, 247Sports Composite’s No. 36 overall prospect, hails from Wasatch Academy in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. The center stretches to 6-foot-9-inches and weighs in at 230 pounds.  National Recruiting Analyst Josh Gershon spoke very highly of Sissoko after his evaluation in late May on 247sports.com.

“Explosive athlete for his size. Big-time motor and plays hard every time out. Could be a high-level rim protector given his physical tools and instincts. Rebounds very well on both ends. At his best on the offensive glass and in transition, although skill has improved,” Gershon said.

Mali-born Sissoko will be the second four-star commitment for Michigan State men's basketball in this recruiting cycle. He will be accompanying point guard Jalen Terry from Beecher High School in Mount Morris, Michigan.

The commitment came after a visit to Michigan State this past weekend, as Sissoko came for the Michigan State vs. Western Michigan football game.  

Sissoko announced his commitment via Wasatch Academy’s Instagram live story.

“I just feel like every time I talk to Izzo, or the other coaches ... Everybody. I just feel like I would like it more at Michigan State. I like a lot about them.” Sissoko said, “I just feel like Michigan State is the best for me. It was a tough decision. It was tough. I just feel like Michigan State is right for me and I am so excited to put this hat on,” Sissoko said during the live story.

Sissoko plans on officially signing in November.
