Michigan State cancels Homecoming Parade ahead of thunderstorms

The 2019 Michigan State Homecoming Parade has been canceled Friday due to projected thunderstorms.

The MSU Alumni Office announced on Twitter that the parade had been canceled due to expected storms including lighting and thunder.

According to The Weather Channel, thunderstorms are projected to start in East Lansing at 4 p.m. and carry on through the night.

MSU has not yet announced whether the parade will be rescheduled.
