The East Lansing Police Department arrested a bank robbery suspect, responding to a call made at approximately 11:40 a.m. June 10, according to a press release.

The robbery occurred at Flagstar Bank, at 1400 E. Lake Lansing Road. The male suspect allegedly indicated he had a weapon and demanded cash.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, he left the bank. There were no injuries reported.

Officers responded to a 911 call, which provided a description of the suspect. He allegedly had bandages on his face.

ELPD located the suspect in the 1800 block of Hagadorn Road as he attempted to enter an apartment building, the press release said. Officers contacted the suspect and took him into custody without incident.

Officers said they found a large amount of cash, a handgun-shaped object and false bandages in the suspect's possession.

The suspect is being held at the East Lansing Jail, pending arraignment on bank robbery charges.
