Candidates for the 2019-20 ASMSU Office of the President announced

Candidates for the 2019-20 session of the Associated Students of Michigan State University's Office of the President were verified yesterday.

Elections for President, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Vice President for Finance and Operations will take place on April 17. Elections for Vice President for Governmental Affairs, Vice President for Internal Administration and Vice President for Student Allocations will take place on April 18. Both election days will take place in the Student Services Building beginning at 7 p.m.

The recently established General Assembly of ASMSU's new session will vote on the candidates.

President

Current Vice President for Internal Administration Mario Kakos is running unopposed for the president position, which is currently held by Cookie Rifiotis.

Vice President for Academic Affairs

Current Vice President for Academic Affairs Dylan Westrin is running for re-election. Other candidates include:

  • Brianna Aiello
  • Kelsie Luokkala
  • Reese McCaskill Jr.

Vice President for Finance and Operations

  • Tayte Rider

Vice President for Governmental Affairs

Current Vice President for Governmental Affairs Maysa Sitar is running for re-election. Other candidates include:

  • Ragine Head
  • Sergei Kelley

Vice President for Internal Administration

  • Nora Teagan
  • Selva Haidar

Vice President for Student Allocations

  • Alex Jasukaitis
  • Dale Kruithoff
  • Dylan Catalano
  • Lily Alexander
  • Norah Johnson
