The Michigan State Libraries are calling for student artwork entries for the 2019 Student Art Competition. The contest — supported by the Irene B. Arens Endowment — is open to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Two students — one undergraduate and one graduate — will receive a $500 prize if their artwork is chosen. Winning pieces will be displayed in the MSU Libraries.

Contest rules state the ideal project should be "gallery ready," or practical for being displayed permanently in a public space. Students may only submit up to three entries.

The last day to submit work to artcontest@lib.msu.edu is today, and winners will be notified by April 26.

Their artwork will join the permanent art collection of the MSU Libraries.
