The state licensing agency has filed administrative complaints against two Michigan State athletic trainers for lying to investigators about their knowledge of Larry Nassar's sexual abuse.
The Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, or LARA, has investigated trainers Destiny Teachnor-Hauk and Lianna Hadden, along with several other MSU employees in recent months.
The complaints state the trainers were informed of Nassar's abuse by students uncomfortable with his procedures, a fact both trainers denied to investigators on June 11, 2018, according to a press release from LARA.
The complaints were filed Feb. 19. Hadden and Teachnor-Hauk have 30 days to file a response.
Failure to respond is considered an admission of the alleged conduct. The complaint will be forwarded to the Michigan Board of Athletic Trainers for review and action by a disciplinary subcommittee.
The subcommittee can then suspend, limit or revoke the licenses, place the licensee on probation or issue a fine.
Hadden and Teachnor-Hauk are still employed at MSU, according to their staff pages. Both LARA and the state Attorney General's Office have now filed administrative complaints against the trainers.
