Michigan State learned of the death of psychology sophomore Caleb Cooper over the weekend, according to an email sent to residents of Campbell Hall.

Cooper was from Saginaw, Michigan, and resided in Campbell Hall.

"We ask members of the Campbell and MSU community to honor Caleb’s memory during this difficult time," the email said.

The email also noted that MSU's Office of Student Affairs and Services is providing support to Cooper's family.

Members of the campus community personally affected by this event are encouraged to seek support from campus resources including Counseling and Psychiatric Services, a 24-hour counseling app and group counseling sessions for grief recovery.

Community meetings were held in Campbell Hall Monday evening to provide support for residents during this time.
