BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — After Michigan State football (2-1, 1-0 in Big Ten) beat Indiana (3-1, 0-1) in its Big Ten opener Saturday, it got rewarded, moving up to No. 21 in the latest AP Top 25 writers poll released Sunday afternoon.
The Spartans also rose to No. 18 in the USA Today Amway Coaches Poll, after moving up to No. 23 last week.
Among the Big Ten Conference, Wisconsin moved up from No. 18 to No. 15, Penn State went up one spot from No. 10 to No. 9, Ohio State remained at No. 4 and University of Michigan was bumped up five spots from No. 19 to No. 14.

The Spartans will next face off against Central Michigan (1-3, 0-1 in MAC) Saturday at noon in Spartan Stadium. The game will be televised on FS1.
