Michigan State moves up in AP, coaches poll

Despite not having played this weekend, Michigan State football (1-1) moved up in this week's AP  writers poll to No. 24 after finishing off its bye week. 

The Spartans moved up to the 23rd spot on the USA Today Amway Coaches Poll after dropping to No. 24 last week.

Among the Big Ten Conference, Wisconsin dropped from No. 6 to No. 18, Penn State went up one spot from No. 11 to No. 10, Ohio State stayed at No. 4 and University of Michigan remained at the No. 19 spot.

The Spartans will travel to Indiana University on Saturday to play under the lights at 7:30  p.m. against the Hoosiers for their second road game this season.
