Those who don't want to throw away their shot at seeing "Hamilton" might want to pay special attention to the Wharton Center 2018-19 show schedule announced Monday. For the first time, a performance of the historical musical will come to East Lansing, headlining the Broadway Series that will run from September to June.
In addition, two Andrew Lloyd Webber-penned hits will appear — "School of Rock The Musical" and "Love Never Dies," the sequel to the legendary "The Phantom of the Opera."
Other shows include the tale of a Jewish milkman raising his daughters in 18th century Russia, "Fiddler on the Roof," the tragic romance set during the Vietnam War, "Miss Saigon" and the up-and-coming musical adaptation of the 1997 film by the same name, "Anastasia."
Individual tickets to shows are not yet on sale, but theater lovers can show their commitment by becoming season subscribers, which allows them the chance to see six shows for less than the price of five and can reserve up to six seats to "Hamilton" before tickets go on sale.

In addition to the Broadway series, the Wharton Center boasts a lineup of lectures, variety shows and events aimed at children. The highlights include appearances by comedy legends Steve Martin and Martin Short, a lecture from MSNBC correspondent Joy-Ann Reid and a performance from the Monterey Jazz Festival.
