MSU head football coach Mark Dantonio announced former football player Chuck Bullough will be Dantonio's 10th and final assistant coach on his staff, coaching the defensive ends.

This is Bullough's second stint as a coach with MSU, as he was graduate assistant from 1997-98. In his first year, he helped coach defensive backs with Dantonio and current Alabama head coach Nick Saban. He coached with the offense in his second year.

The former NFL linebacker played four seasons with the Spartans, finishing his career No. 6 in all-time tackles with 391. He also holds the season record for tackles, collecting 175 tackles in his senior season in 1991.

Bullough has spent 14 years coaching, most recently being the defensive line coach for Eastern Michigan University from 2016-17.

The Spartans will start the 2018 season on Aug. 31 against Utah State.
