Peanut Barrel plans to reopen Sunday following renovations

January 3, 2018

The Peanut Barrel you know might have some fancy new changes come Sunday.

The staple East Lansing bar and restaurant is closed for renovations as of New Year’s Day, but plans to reopen Sunday, according to The Peanut Barrel’s Facebook page.

The renovations and closure were announced in a Facebook post on Jan. 1. A post from Wednesday morning shows work being done on the restaurant’s floor.

In addition to the new floor, changes include a new computer system, some new walls and other refurbishments, owner Joe Bell said in an interview with the Lansing State Journal.
