With the help of a 85-57 win against Indiana at the Breslin Center on Friday, MSU climbed three spots in the newest Associated Press Top-25, to No. 6.
The poll, which was released at noon Monday, has the Spartans ranked the second best team in the Big Ten, behind No. 3 Purdue. Ohio State is ranked No. 13 and Michigan, which is ranked No. 25.
The Boilermakers were the only Big Ten team to receive a first-place vote.
MSU is on the road to take on Illinois Monday night. The Illini come in 10-10 overall on the season and are the only team winless, 0-7, in conference play.
