The men's basketball team fell from No. 1 to No. 4 in the latest Associated Press top 25 poll rankings released on Monday, following its 80-64 loss to Ohio State in Columbus yesterday.
The Spartans took over the top spot in the rankings for the first time this season last week after then-No. 1 Villanova dropped their first game of the season to unranked Butler.
MSU's seven days spent at No. 1 is the shortest in program history.
The only other Big Ten team to be ranked in this edition of the AP poll is Purdue, who's tied with Wichita State for the No. 5 spot.
