Larry Nassar listens to the judge during the plea hearing on Nov. 22, 2017, at the Veterans Memorial Court at 313 W Kalamazoo St., Lansing. Nassar pleaded guilty to seven counts.

A week after ex-MSU and USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar pleaded guilty to sexually abusing children, Nassar will be back in court Wednesday for another plea hearing.

On Nov. 22, Nassar pleaded guilty to seven counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct in Ingham County and entered a plea deal.

However, Nassar still faces 13 criminal sexual conduct charges in Eaton County — seven of these charges are first degree criminal sexual conduct charges and six are third degree criminal sexual conduct charges. It's expected that Nassar will plead guilty to some of these Eaton County charges at his plea hearing Wednesday.

Wednesday morning's plea hearing will take place at Eaton County's circuit court in Charlotte, Michigan.

Nassar is accused of sexually abusing more than 140 women and girls, ranging from local gymnasts to Olympic athletes, under the guise of medical treatment.

He was arrested in December 2016 on charges of possessing “at least 37,000” images of child pornography to which he pleaded guilty. His sentencing for the receipt, possession and destruction of child pornography is set for Dec. 7 in federal court.

Nassar pleaded guilty to seven first degree criminal sexual conduct charges in Ingham County in November 2017. His sentencing for these charges, which could range from a minimum of 25-40 years to life in prison, is scheduled for Jan. 12, 2018.

Nassar is also a defendant in nine lawsuits, all of which also list MSU, MSU's board of trustees and USA Gymnastics as defendants.

As part of Nassar's guilty plea to seven charges in Ingham County on Nov. 22, remaining charges in that case were dropped. Nassar also agreed to a minimum sentence of 25-40 years and a maximum sentence of life in prison. His sentencing, scheduled for Jan. 12, will be subject to the court.

As part of the Ingham County plea agreement, the Michigan Attorney General's office will no longer prosecute cases reported to MSUPD, which is a total of 115 cases.

If Nassar's sentencing allows him to be released from prison after serving time, he would be monitored electronically and would become a registered sex offender.
