MSU came in No. 22 in the AP poll, No. 24 in the Coaches poll earlier this week.
Three Big Ten teams scratched the top-10: No. 5 Wisconsin, No. 9 Ohio State and No. 10 Penn State. Two other Big Ten teams — No. 23 Northwestern and No. 24 Michigan – rounded out the conference in the rankings.
The 7-3 Spartans take on Maryland Saturday for a 4 p.m. kickoff. The game will be Senior Day as a handful of MSU players will compete in their last game at Spartan Stadium.
